Tony has over 30 years’ experience of the design and
assessment of all types of bridges. Although his career has
included the design of other civil engineering structures, such as
harbours and jetties, he is acknowledged as one of the UK's leading
experts in railway bridges.
He has worked on new-build projects, bridge strengthening and
replacements, and advises railway authorities on the management of
their bridge assets. Tony has developed a speciality in the
refurbishment of historically important bridge structures, such as
Stephenson's 1850 High Level Bridge in Newcastle, UK.
"Getting the most out of valuable infrastructure in a safe and
economic way gives me a real buzz", says Tony.
