All bridges are unique to their function and surroundings. Each one
is different, but some are more different than others. Examples of
our more unconventional bridge projects are shown here.
Charles Bridge
Reconstruction
Mott MacDonald has been appointed to provide engineering services
for preparing the reconstruction work and managing all related
activities.
The Green
Bridge
Developed as part of a major regeneration programme this
unusual landscaped bridge across the Mile End Road in East London
forms a crucial link in a 3km linear park, connecting open spaces
dissected by roads and railways.
New Galata Bridge
Mott MacDonald was appointed to carry out construction supervision
of the New Galata Bridge, which replaced the previous steel pontoon
bridge that had been constructed in 1912.
Ha'penny Bridge
To refurbish this Grade I listed structure Mott MacDonald EPO
were instructed to carry out a conditional survey followed by
design of remedial and strengthening works.
River Luznice
Bridge
For this project our team in Prague carried out the conceptual and
detailed designs, and then supervised construction, replacing the
existing steel structure which was in poor condition.
